David Fullbrook
Employment Solicitor

In 2016, David made the life changing decision to leave a career in the private security industry in order to return to education in pursuit of his dream of a career in the legal profession. During this time David obtained a First-Class Honours degree at the University of Law and was awarded the University of Law Prize for the highest pass mark on the Guildford campus. He subsequently stayed on to obtain a Masters in Law and was selected from students across all University of Law campuses to give the Student Vote of Thanks speech at his graduation ceremony, held at The Barbican.

Following graduation, David worked for two national law firms, in differing practice areas, before completing his training contract with a regional firm, qualifying in 2025. During his training contract, David assisted and supported the Solicitors in the employment law department by drafting employment agreements, workplace policies and tribunal documentation and managed and coordinated a complex and voluminous data subject access request for and on behalf of a bank. Following qualification as a Solicitor, David worked as an in-house counsel for a global beauty brand where, among other things, he supported the brand with fine tuning its data protection practices before returning to private practice to specialise in employment law at Couchman Hanson.

David chose to specialise in employment law as it allows him to combine the legal knowledge and skills he has obtained, both in education and in legal practice, with the unique perspectives obtained upon his career journey prior to returning to education. This combination provides a unique understanding of client needs and allows him to make meaningful impact on the careers and businesses of clients.

Outside of work, David enjoys skateboarding with his son and is an active participator within the niche sub-discipline of freestyle skateboarding.
